Gregory Washington: When I interview people, when I look for people who are going to be part of a team that I’m managing or leading, I have a term: when all else fails, I look for the eye of the tiger… from the old rocky movies. … it’s that grit. It’s that will.
Tyler Cowen: And people who practice and train in the way that an athlete or a concert pianist would – for any job – I look for them. They wake up every morning and they ask themselves, “What can I do today to get better?” And a lot of days they might even fail at that endeavor, and that’s fine, but if they’re asking that question I am very interested in them.
