How could I forget?
- It (almost) goes without saying that the event will start well…
- … but we’ll work equally hard to make it end well and not fizzle out…
- … so that you leave with a sense of energy and direction and meaning…
- … and don’t report back that the first two or three sessions were good BUT THEN.*
*This is much harder than starting well. If you have any insights into how to end well in the absence of flaming motorcyclists or their less-exciting counterpart, non-flaming motorcyclists and flaming hoops, or indeed of just plain hoops, please let me know. We’re looking for the Grand Finale that isn’t an idiotic Grand Finale, but is so much more than the ritual filling-in-of-evaluation-forms-and-the-extinguishing-of-all-sense-of-excitement–and-smothering-of-new-ideas-prior-to-vague-plenary-session sort of ending.**
**Which is to say, the heat-death of the universe won’t be happening on our watch.***
***Not least because of the motorcyclists.
