Making things better

There are plenty of problems you could solve.

Your job is to choose a couple of important ones and bring energy and intelligence to bear on them in order to find a workable solution.

Energy means the effort you bring, but also effort from outside – finding people and resources (including machines) to help you achieve more and better results with fewer resources and less direct effort.

Intelligence means finding better ways to do things: looking at the root causes and systems that generate the problem and its solutions to find points of leverage; discovering new ways of doing things – of using materials or of organising work and people – that require fewer scarce resources. Intelligence is what enables you to do more with less.
