Some crises are worth seeking.
You can limp on, drained by low-level conflict or conflict avoidance, suffocated by the elephants in the room, for months and years without really paying attention to the toll the emotional friction is taking on you, and the things its stopping you doing.
It’s time to pay attention. Look closely at what’s going on, and if there’s a problem, look for the values in tension and get clarity on what you want most. Then position yourself so that so that you can press into the problem rather than avoiding it, have the difficult conversation and precipitate a crisis that will lead to resolution, or at very least, make it clear where everyone stands, and where things are going.
